I’m asking for your vote for mayor in the Democratic primary on Feb. 23, 2027. Harvey is my hometown. I attended our public schools, and my wife, Kisha, and I raised our four children here. I want every family to have a safe, clean and affordable community they’re proud to call home.

As president of the Harvey Public Library District and former president of the Harvey Park District, I worked with both boards to eliminate millions in inherited debt, improve services and provide modern facilities for residents. I’ll bring that same practical, business-minded approach to City Hall.

My team and I will begin by putting our finances in order. We’ll pursue county, state and federal grants and use available economic development incentives to attract businesses. Expanding our commercial tax base and sales tax revenue will help fund services and lower the property tax burden on homeowners.

Stronger finances will help us hire more police officers, firefighters and paramedics, repair neglected streets, sidewalks and alleys, and address boarded-up homes. These are basic responsibilities, and residents deserve a city government that follows through.
